On Sunday, March 19, 2023, a scientific trip to the old Rusafa Baghdad Center was set up as part of the first stage of the architectural design lesson. The goal was to learn about the area's nature, urban features, and, most important historical buildings. The students went on the trip with their professors of architectural design for the first stage. Yasser, an archaeologist, was also kind enough to tell the students everything there was to know about the Ottoman Qishla, the Abbasid Palace, and the Al-Mustansiriya School. The tour went all over the region and looked into the possibility of choosing a site for the design project in the second chapter and coming up with a practical use that fits the area's nature.
