The Department of Prosthesis and Orthosis Engineering participated in the eighth scientific engineering conference held by the College of Engineering - University of Karbala, by presenting a research paper by the master’s student, Rajha Saleh Saad, under the supervision of Prof. M.D. Yasser Yaarub Qahtan and the intitled: Compare between Wearable force plate and Traditional force plate Motivation For This Study: It is to help patients and try to provide a good treatment tool at a good price and without complexity to solve many problems that patients face, for example, the occurrence of ulcers due to high pressure in the diabetic foot, which leads to amputation, and it is less expensive and more than a force plate is available to be used anywhere and Small in size and easy to use. Problem Statement: Traditional devices (force plates) are large and expensive, and are linked to biomechanical laboratories. They require a trained person or physical therapist to operate them, and they give data with low accuracy. Therefore, in this research, we worked on manufacturing a gait analysis device with reasonable prices, high accuracy, wearable, and easy to use.
