Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiad, and under the supervision of the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Zuhair Khader Alawi, the Civil Engineering Department participated in the central exam for the Creativity and Excellence Award Competition for the top students in the engineering colleges in Iraqi governmental and private universities for the departments of civil engineering, construction engineering and project management. The top three students in the Civil Engineering Department at Nahrain University participated in the exam, namely:

1. Muhammad Haider Hawas Suwadi ..... (First)

2. Ali Raed Hussein Malik ................. (Second)

3. Nour Khader Abbas Sultan ............... (Third)

The exam was conducted at the College of Engineering / Al-Mustansiriya University on Thursday, 19/12/2024, in the Ibn Sina Hall at 10:00 am with the participation of 44 students from various Iraqi governmental and private universities. The exam was conducted electronically for three hours, and the results were announced immediately after the end of the electronic exam. The Civil Engineering Department at Nahrain University won third place through the student (Muhammad Haider Hawas Suwadi), and it is worth noting that the Creativity and Excellence Award is an award given to distinguished engineers who have made outstanding achievements in the field of engineering, and that this award aims to encourage innovation and excellence in engineering projects.
