Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, a faculty member in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, participated in the defense committee for the Master's student Mustafa Haitham Falah in the Department of Life Sciences, College of Science, University of Baghdad. His thesis was titled:

"Assessment of the Involvement of Some Cytokines in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Pathogenicity."

The public defense took place in the hall of Professor Raad Al-Mulla in the Department of Life Sciences on Sunday, September 1, 2024. The committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Mohammed Lutfah Atta Allah, with Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, Lecturer Dr. Sura Abdul Manaf Abdul Wahab, and Assistant Professor Dr. Fadhil Mohammed Lutfah as members, with Dr. Fadhil also serving as the supervisor.
