The Department of Biomedical Engineering, under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Professor Dr. Juma Salman Jiad, and in collaboration with the Continuous Education Unit at the college, organized an intensive training course covering three essential biomedical devices: the Anesthesia Machine, the Ventilator, and the Ultrasound Machine. The course was delivered by a group of faculty members in conjunction with engineers from Ashur Scientific Office, including Mr. Ezzedine Jaafar, Mr. Abdulrahman Taha, and Mr. Mohammed Dhafer. The course lasted for a week, during which participants received a certified participation certificate from the College of Engineering. The focus of the course was on providing intensive practical training to enhance the participants' proficiency in using and maintaining these vital devices, in line with the latest developments in medical engineering technologies. The course included detailed explanations of the mechanisms of these devices and the best practices for their maintenance and operation in various medical settings. It aimed to strengthen both the theoretical and practical skills of the participants, enabling them to provide advanced technical support in their institutions and contribute to improving the quality of healthcare. Participants included students and graduates from the Biomedical Engineering Department at Al-Nahrain University, as well as graduates from other universities. This diversity enriched the discussions and the exchange of experiences among the participants. The course effectively raised the professional competence of the attendees and paved the way for further development of their skills in handling advanced medical devices.
