The Biomedical Engineering Department participated in the special celebration of the 2024 Al-Nahrain University Award. Assistant Professor Dr. Anas Qusay Hashim, supervising her PhD student Dr. Safa Laith Kilan, received the award for the Best PhD Thesis of 2024 in the College of Engineering - Al-Nahrain University, within the field of engineering and technological sciences. The university's administration presented the awards on Monday, June 24, 2024, in the Grand Conference Hall of the university. The event was attended by college deans, research center directors, assistant deans, department heads, award winners, honored faculty members, and numerous university staff members.

Professor Jumaa Salman Jiyad, the esteemed Dean of the College of Engineering, praised the efforts of the participants from the College of Engineering. He emphasized that this recognition aligns with the university's policy to support and motivate professors and researchers, fostering a spirit of scientific and academic competition among faculty and students, and cultivating a culture of creativity and innovation to elevate their university to the ranks of the world's leading institutions.
