Nahrain University held an award ceremony for the recipients of the Nahrain University Award on Monday, June 24, 2024, in the university's main conference hall. Representing the University President, Professor Omar Farouq Abdul Rashid, the Assistant University President for Scientific Affairs, attended the event.

The College of Engineering shone at the ceremony, receiving twenty-three awards for its professors and researchers. The Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics made a notable impression, with the following honors:

• Professor Iyad Murad Tkhakh, Head of the Department of Prosthetics and Orthotics Engineering, was recognized for achieving an H-index of 15 in the Scopus database.
• Professor Wajdi Sadiq was honored for his promotion to the rank of professor.
• Master's student Rafal Farouq Ghazi received the award for the best master's thesis.
