Under the sponsorship of Assistant Professor Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Nahrain University, the Department of Biomedical Engineering held its second annual competition to select the best graduation project for the academic year 2023-2024 for fifth-year students in the department. This event took place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Al-Rafidain Hall.

The Dean commenced the opening of the event by praising the participating students in the competition for their spirit of challenge and competition in presenting their project ideas. The event included a one-minute presentation by each student about their graduation project in front of the judging committee, along with illustrative posters of the students' projects displayed in the courtyard opposite the hall.

The competition resulted in the following winners:

• Student Dargham Wathiq Jasim, in first place for his project titled: "Arapid designing technique for orthopedic cast."
• Student Wadhah Ziyad Saleh, in second place for his project titled: "Design and construction model of artificial larynx."
• Student Manar Abdul Kareem Jaber, in third place for her project titled: "Design and implementation of an anti-sleep alarm device for drivers."
• Student Rassl Hamad Abdullah Jaber, in fourth place for her project titled: "Effect of Calculation Tempeature on the composition of composite materials."
• Student Leen Hussain Ali, in fifth place for her project titled: "Design and Manufacturing of a Transparent Electrochemical Stimulation System for Migraine Treatment."
