A delegation of faculty members from the College of Engineering/University of the Tigris, from the Biomedical Engineering Department, conducted a scientific visit to the International Heritage Foundation for Cancer Treatment in the holy city of Karbala. The delegation included:

• Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Ibrahim Mahmoud, Dr. Iman Ghadban Khalil, Dr. Samar Ali Jaber, Dr. Alaa Ayed Jaber , Assistant Lecturer Zaid Mustafa Khudhair, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Lateef Khadharham , Engineer Mohammed Hussein Ghazi.

The teaching staff was accompanied by fourth-year students from the department to explore the latest medical treatment, diagnostic, imaging, and laboratory devices. The visit aimed to acquaint the students with the essential considerations and details to be taken into account during the design and equipping of hospitals. The visit was intended to enhance the theoretical and scientific aspects of the biomedical engineering curriculum.
