The Adviser to the Prime Minister for reconstruction and investment visits the College of Engineering.

On February 26, 2018, the College of Engineering received Professor Dr. Sabah Abdullatif Meshatat, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Construction and Investment
 He was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Jassem Aboud Al-Dabbagh,and Assistant Vice President for Administrative Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Juma Salman.  Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Shaima Hamid and Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein,  in addition to the heads of the departments of architecture and civil engineering and  a number Of professors attended the meeting.
The visit  began with a meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, during which they discussed the practical engineering teaching, and communication with international universities.
After that, the Chancellor opened the exhibition of the activities of the Department of Architecture. The exhibition included  projects for the reconstruction of iraq by graduate and undergraduate students.
The consultant praised the experience of Al-Nahrain University and distinguished it from other Iraqi universities in the field of urban design and preservation of urban heritage. A number of projects were selected to be presented to the higher authorities in order to increase the contribution of Iraqi universities and their integration with other state institutions for the purpose of reconstruction.
